Sunday 1st October
Well, I can't believe that I am still feeling lousy. What was the point of all those injections if I'm still going to get ill? And there is only so much medicine I can put up with, even if it tastes quite nice! I did at least get lots of cuddles and attention, but we didn't do anything else.
Monday 2nd
Mummy and daddy decided I was well enough to go back to nursery (damn, I was hoping for another day off). I was really busy with my sponge painting. I hope daddy has put it the right way up for me!
At the end of the day when mummy came to collect me I noticed that mummy was given a copy of my school report. I was so embarrassed! Now everyone will know that I actually quite like it here...
What the report said: Þ |
The truth... |
|
Þ Yeah well, I like making a noise. What can I say! |
|
Þ For a few seconds until I see something else more interesting... |
|
Þ The messier the better of course! |
|
Þ Oh no, that's it. Why not tell everyone I love snack time too. |
|
Þ Ah. |
|
Þ Hey, don't forget about my paper sticking skills! |
|
Þ Cuddles. Yeah! |
Tuesday 3rd
Of course it was mummy's birthday today, so I was on my best behaviour. I was almost asleep on mummy's shoulder when Daddy came home early, but just as I looked up I couldn't control myself and threw up all over her! Mummy jumped up from the sofa and I aimed the rest at the floor until we were surrounded and mummy couldn't really move. Daddy wrapped me in a towel and carried me at arms length into the bath whilst mummy had to have a shower to recover.
After that I decided I'd better stay quiet whilst mummy and daddy had a Chinese take-away dinner for two.
Wednesday 4th
Today is the birthday of my first tooth! I had been wondering what that hard lump was, now I know. With any luck it will make those rice cakes easier to chew. Despite last nights display it was back to nursery today. I think they're trying to teach me sign language but I want to know what to do for "I want more more food!". Fish risotto for lunch, yummy.
Thursday they kept me so busy at nursery, with drawing, playing with flour (yeah!) and nursery songs, that I barely had time to sleep. No wonder I am knackered in the evenings and occasionally forget to wake up at 4am!
Saturday 7th
Today I am feeling a lot better. As it was nice weather we went for a walk by the Cam, where I got to play on the swing and the slide! Here you can see me posing in my Burberry jeans jacket and trousers.
On Sunday we went to Susie's and Caitlin's for Susie's birthday tea where I had lots of fun playing and I even got a big green balloon, lots of Mr Men books and a car play centre to take home. I like eating the books and the car is really noisy when you press all the buttons at once!
Monday 9th
Well, I was feeling better, but the sight of nursery made me feel ill again! So I got sent home and got Tuesday off as well. On Wednesday I still had a temperature so mummy took me to the doctors, but by lunchtime the medicine had kicked in and mummy took me back to nursery. No rest for the wicked!
On Thursday I learnt all about string painting. If you ask me, strings
are not really designed for painting with, but hey, I played along with
it. Friday 13th I had a great time swimming today, and at singing I was busy standing up and shaking my maracas. I really love standing up and I was practising that some more when daddy came home. So I made him my new walker, that's what daddies are for. Only he doesn't play tunes like my proper walker. I tried to walk some more at the weekend, but it is easier said than done. It might take me a while to get the hang of this!☺ |

Can you sing us a song when I press here? |
Monday 16th - Friday 20th
Another week at nursery where I did some more finger painting, played with Lego, treasure chests and activity centres. Then some more elastic band painting, activity cubes and all sorts. I'm worn out every evening!
Saturday 21st
Today we played a lot in the family room. I got my very own maracas to play with which were a present from Grandma. They're much more fun than trying to eat my Mr Men books!
Sunday 22nd
I finally got to help myself to my own lunch today! I quickly emptied the bowl out onto the tray so that I could move the little orange bits around with my breadstick.
The orange bits were quite slippery, but the green bits were going everywhere!

Now, I've
put the ones I like on the left, |
I've got my
eye on you dad, |
... or I'll bite your finger! |
Then I did my time at nursery again, playing with sand (which tastes yuk by the way), shakers and rattles and lots of other toys.
Saturday 28th
I had a go on my new sit-on car which I got from Karen and Susie on Friday. It's fab because I can get daddy to push me all around the house and make silly noises. I also had another go at walking with my proper walker, as daddy was
|
too busy taking pictures on my 11 month birthday.
Then mummy started tickling me! |

Of course on Monday I had to go back to nursery, but daddy tells me we're off to Holland this week, so I'm really looking forward to that!
